As a resident of a community, I believe we have a responsibility to leave this place better than we found it.  As a professional engineer, I have spent my entire career on public and private efforts that help create better communities.

It has been an honor serving the City of Galveston as your District 2 City Council Person since May 2023.  Prior to my election, I served on the Planning Commission since November 2021, and as Chairman since October 2022.

Together, we can make change.

The City and our environmental partners should leverage the funding opportunities at the GLO and other federal and state programs to develop and fund projects that protect land, dunes, and shorelines, as well as land acquisitions, flood risk reduction, and community infrastructure that enhance resiliency in Galveston.

Comprehensive Plan

The last Comprehensive Plan was developed in October of 2011.  I think we can all agree that the island has changed a great deal since then.  Private groups like Vision Galveston have stepped in to help provide insight to the current condition of the community, and provided a guideline for the City to consider.
